New Planet Discovered 2010: Gliese 581G

Experts say they've found the first Earthlike planet - with an atmosphere, temperate regions and liquid water which would be favorable for life.

The new planet named Gliese 581G, is 20 light years from Earth’s solar system and falls in the “Goldilocks’ zone, one with an appropriate distance from the sun. Not too hot, not too cold - just like Earth.

But Gliese 581G doesn’t rotate like our planet. So it's always day on one side and always night on the other side. Furthermore, instead of taking 365 days to revolve around the sun, Gliese 581G only takes about 37 days.
