Sumatran 2-Year Old Smokes 40 Cigarettes A Day
Ardi Rizal, a two-year old boy living in the Indonesian fishing village of Musi Banyuasin, was video-taped chain smoking. He appears to be overweight and quite experienced smoking cigarettes.
According to his parents, he was first given a cigarette stick when he was just 18 months old...by his own father Mohammad. Now at age 2, he likes to smoke two packs of cigarettes per day! The toddler even has a brand preference and will only smoke the premium packs that cost £3.78 per day.
When he is deprived of cigarettes, Ardi will throw a massive temper tantrum. Ardi’s mother, Diana, feels helpless saying: “He’s totally addicted. If he doesn’t get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick.”
To help curb the kid’s habit, the Indonesian government is offering to buy Ardi’s family a car if they get their kid to stop smoking.
